I've updated the page on OS X 10.5.3 Graphics/GL/Driver Notes/Bugs/Tips with a note from a Mac Pro/8800GT owner that VLC Media Player 0.8.6h (posted in June 6th news page - download at http://www.videolan.org/) solved problems he'd had with previous VLC versions in 10.5.3 (and 10.5.2).
