Create a floating window showing active programs |

Did you know you can create a floating window showing all your running OS 9 applications? Just click-and-hold on the application icon on the right side of the menu bar, and then pull straight down. Presto! Now you've got an always-visible list of your running applications. Monitor this window to make sure you don't launch too many programs at once -- doing so may cause you to use virtual memory, and if another program crashes, you may lose all your work in all your open programs. So if this list starts getting long, quit programs right away!
(I'm not sure if this is new in 9.1, but I never noticed it before.)
[robg adds: Wow. Nifty trick; I never would have thought to tug the icon straight down off the menu bar!]
