I don't know if this is new with Leopard, but by accident I discovered that within Photo Booth, you can change the origin of the distortion effects by clicking and dragging the mouse cursor on the distorted image. This is in addition to the slider that appears that lets you change the amount of distortion. [robg adds: The slider is obvious and mentioned in Help, but there's no mention of changing the distortion's source point.]
