Apple has "nailed it" with the recent update to Apple TV, according to a review at the financial site TheStreet.com. The reviewer, Gary Krakow, didn't like the original Apple TV, largely due to the inferior (iPod-oriented) resolution that was available for video downloads from iTunes at the time. The higher resolutions available from iTunes and supported on the Apple TV has changed that
