February 22, 2008 6:00 AMMac|Life has published a new review of Plant Tycoon. The gardening simulation lets players breed and crossbreed plants while they search for the six Magic Plants of the island of Isola and build a simple backyard garden into a lavish nursery empire. Mac|Life gave the game a score of 4 out of 5.From the review:For many, spending time in a garden pruning, watering, and planting can be a serene and pleasing experience. But if you’re stuck inside or you just lack a green thumb, there’s Plant Tycoon. This game from Last Day of Work does a nice job of capturing the essence of gardening, without dirtying your hands. A tutorial starts you planting right away. You learn to pot and water your soil, plant your seeds, and prune dead material away. Beautifully composed New Age music accompanies your work. Only time will tell how well your plants will do, but you can set the speed yourself, so your plants can grow overnight if you wish. Your plants grow even when the game isn’t running. Don’t forget about them, because your inattentiveness can result in plants dead from age, disease, or pest infestation. A supply store is right around the corner to meet your needs with tool upgrades, various chemicals, and special seeds.Head over to the site below to read the rest of the review.Mac|Life: Plant Tycoon Review
