As an update to today's earlier post and question if the Apple Nvidia 800GT card is compatible with previous Mac Pros, I've comments from 2 readers that were told different things - one was told it wasn't compatible, but the other was told in a chat session with an "Apple Expert" that it WAS compatible with the previous Mac Pro. Despite the comments, questions on EFI64 vs EFI32 ROM, Apple's doc on G5 vs Mac Pro PCIe cards, etc. - IMHO to settle this we need a test of the new card in a previous Mac Pro. (As they say "One experiment is worth a thousand theories"...)
