Over the last 2 weeks or so I'd posted some reports from Adaptec SCSI card owners that tried the tip of reinstalling the last (old) Adaptec OS X drivers for their card model in Leopard - several 2906 and 2930 card owners said that got the card working again in Leopard with their scanners, but initial reports from 29160/39160 owners using hard drives wasn't good - a 29160 owner said the drivers got the card recognized but attached drives were read-only. The first 39160/10.5.x owner said neither of the 2 IBM SCSI drives were seen - but later wrote that was due to a cable issue and says he's now able to read and write to the drives OK in OS X 10.5.1 (see post for details, notes on other cards, link to drivers, etc.)
