Source : ATIATI announced a new external Digital TV Tuner for the Mac. The ATI TV Wonder 650 Combo can be used with all US air broadcast TV format (720p and 1080i) as well as cable TV. However, it does not seem to be designed to work with European Digital TV format. Only Elgato offers such products for the European market. If G4-based Mac units are supported, ATSC reception and recording will require Dual G5 or Intel CPU-based model; and for optimal rendering, OpenGL 2.0 or better graphics card will be necessary.
