Both Comtrend and DS2 have announced new adaptors able to deliver theoretical 400Mbits/s speed through powerlines, in other words a solution faster than the last Wi-Fi 802.11n. If those theoretical transfer speed turn to be true, I will become really popular, as it will be possible to deploy quickly powerline-based wired internet network at home or in small corporate without the hassle of installing Ethernet/RJ45 cables everywhere. Powerline internet can also be used together with wireless solutions for linking 2 wireless stations for example. [translation by Linathael]
