Tips for Problems running multiple Firmtek SATA cards (updated)

A G5 tower owner running Leopard with a Firmtek 1VE4 and 1VE2+2 cards said only one is usable when both are installed. Updated for replies/tips from Firmtek and others that have seen this same issue... matching firmware versions is a suggested solution, although one reader said that didn't help in his setup...
