FYI on WD Scorpio SATA Notebook Drive Power Saving Jumper |

Posting as a FYI to anyone else that swaps in a WD Passport 250GB (USB cased retail drive) into their MacBook/Pro (or Mini) - there's a jumper on the drive for power savings (delayed spinup to reduce power draw on the USB bus). The latest report on this upgrade/swap today in the drive database noted he left the jumper on although he's going to remove it later. I noticed the new WD 1TB "Green" drive also does power savings like that (varying drive rpm, etc.) - not something I'd care for personally - with an internal drive at least. But could be a plus for external cases, especially those that have limited power sources (some desktop Seagate drives have 2.8A max draw, which is more than some ext. case's AC adapter's ratings.)
