In reply to yesterday's firmware updates and feedback that the MBP update wouldn't apply on 2007 MacBook Pros (although the doc listed that firmware series/prefix as one included). I had a lot of 2007 ("santa rosa") Macbook pro owners write since last night's first posting on the issue they saw the same thing - this reader dug into the firmware updater pkg and saw why- the updaters model check does not include the santa rosa MBP models and the firmware checks also do not include the 2007 series, despite what is listed in the EFI 1.4 update doc. Apple's doc on Firmware updates for Intel-based Macs was in the updated listing for Thursday (although the last revised text on the doc says Sept. 11th) and does not list the new EFI 1.4 update as for the 2007 (Santa Rosa) MacBook Pros. (It shows/links to the previous MBP EFI 1.3 update as the latest for them.) What is confusing is that the EFI 1.4 update doc shows a SR firmware series in the list. Perhaps they will correct that soon.
