I've updated the page of 2007 iMac owner reports, including notes from a reader on problems with some 3rd party 2GB SO-DIMMs (from Kingston and Macsolutions) in 2 different iMacs and another 20in owner not happy with the display. Updated with replies from other iMac owners using 1GB 3rd party ram ok, but another iMac owner later wrote about problems with 2GB SO-DIMMs from a local dealer. (See page for full reports and info from the latest Apple iMac developer note and memory expansion note.) Apple notes DDR2/667MHz unbuffered, unregistered, 8-byte, nonparity, non-ECC, CAS 5, 16-chip max per module, although there's no notes on max power draw per module (as was in some PB G4 dev docs IIRC). The comments on some 2GB SODIMMs not recognized remind me of some previous SPD/CAS timing issues with some dimms. If you've used 2GB modules in your 2007 iMac, let me know the details.
