No, this is not related to the MacBook Air. To install Mac OS X into a MacBook Air is much simpler, as Apple provides its users with an app called “Remote Install Mac OS X.” This app does not work with other Macs as far as I know.
We’re going to try something different, and it’s [...]

I bought a new 3.2Ghz Quad-core Mac Pro a couple weeks ago with an Nvidia 8800GT video card. I received this Mac on Tuesday finally. I needed to upgrade from my Dual G5, and thought this would be the answer to all my prayers.
Well, after a nightmare with Apple and FedEx with my box being [...]
I’m a web developer, and sometimes I need to do things that require a lot of research to find. Recently, I stumbled on simple post that solved an issue I was trying to solve for days.

Software pirating has been happening for years, and it will continue to happen in the future. The thing is, pirating has been rising dramatically, and people are not buying software anymore because for some, it’s getting too expensive, for others it’s just easy to pirate software.
One of the main questions I’ve asked myself recently is, [...]

The iPhone is the greatest cellphone there is, no doubt about it. I have had so many cellphones, and this is by far the most advanced, user-friendly phone I’ve owned. There is a big problem I have with it though, reception. AT&T is probably the worst company I have been with as far as reception [...]

iPods have become the essential prop in the universe of sports and exercise. In retrospect, we never realized the strenuous inconvenience of attaching a Walkman, and subsequently, even worse, a constantly-skipping CD player to our bodies to take on the treadmill or the sports field. Or perhaps we did, but lived with the complacent idea [...]

As we approach the release of Apple’s Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard), Appleinsider suggests that this may be the last major Mac OS revision that supports the PowerPC architecture.
Looking ahead, those people familiar with Apple development cycles speculate that Mac OS X 10.6 will exclude support for PowerPC-based Macs entirely, requiring that users have one [...]

One of the most disappointing features (or lack thereof feature, in this case) upon the purchase of Apple’s iPhone, was the inability to purchase, or in any form, add ringtones. Initially, the iPhone came equipped with 25 ringtones, all of which were some sort of special effect sound motif.

“A group representing people with a hearing loss filed complaints with the U.S. Federal Communications Commission last month, accusing Apple Inc. of not making its iPhone compatible with hearing aids.
The Hearing Loss Association of America, a Bethesda, Md., advocacy group, filed formal complaints with the FCC in August, Brenda Battat, the HLAA’s associate executive director, [...]
OWC (OtherWorldComputing) is offering different wireless 802.11n options for us users who still own Macs that don’t support 802.11n, but 802.11g or older instead. As of yet, Apple hasn’t released any cards for its older Mac line of products, and it most likely it never will. Many of us find it unreasonable because we feel [...]

AppZapper is a nifty utility created by Austing Sarner. It will literally Zap any application you no longer want, and remove any associated files with it. Generally, I would just remove any given application, by choosing it from my Applications folder, and trashing it. Sometimes I would get lazy and not do a search for [...]
iChat is a great application for instant messaging. I personally use it all the time, but it does lack features, some that we will and will not see until the release of Mac OS X Leopard. For now, we all have to deal with third-party enhancements out there, and one in particular works best. Kent [...]
